64‑year‑old facing misconduct, conflict of interest charges

A 64‑year‑old woman was granted bail after appearing in court on Saturday in connection with allegations of failing to disclose a conflict of interest and misconduct in a public office.

Sonea Anita Jordan of No. 131 Plum Grove, Lodge Road, Christ Church, is accused of committing the offences between September 1, 2024, and November 25, 2025.

She was charged by The Barbados Police Service’s Serious Organised Crime Unit and the Anti‑Corruption & Anti‑Terrorism Unit.

When she appeared before Magistrate Gayle Scott in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, Jordan was not required to plead to the offences and was released on $3 000 bail.

She is scheduled to return to court on November 17, 2026. (PR)
