Accused placed under curfew

A 19-year-old man accused of sexual offences involving a minor has been granted $7500 bail with surety and ordered to stay away from the complainant.

Jaquon Tyshawn Maughn, of Pioneer Road, Bush Hall, St Michael, is charged that, on June 27, he had sexual intercourse with a minor with her purported consent.

He is also accused of having sexual intercourse with the female without her consent, knowing she did not consent or being reckless as to whether she consented, on August 15.

No pleas were taken to the indictable charges in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court No. 2.

After there was no objection to his release, Magistrate Manila Renee placed Maughn on a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew and adjourned the matter until January 8.
