Driver to return to court

Court adjourned

A truck driver who admitted wounding a woman has been granted $1 000 bail and will return to court for sentencing next month.

Brad Henderson Forde, 37, of Lower Wavell Avenue, Black Rock, appeared before Magistrate Jared Richards and pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding LeTisha Nowell on July 29.

The court heard that, after Nowell was asked to move her vehicle and refused to do so, Forde inflicted a blow to the side of her face. She pushed him to the floor before bystanders intervened.

Forde was released on $1 000 bail and the case was adjourned until October 24.
