The 27-year-old of McClean Gap admitted in a Bridgetown court that on September 30 he assaulted the woman, causing her actual bodily harm, and wounded her. Prosecutor Sergeant Kenmore Phillips told the court that the complainant was at Sealy’s home when an argument broke out, during which Sealy struck the woman several times across her face and head. A neighbour intervened, and Sealy left the house. The complainant called a taxi and went home. But Sealy was there and threatened her with scissors before one of her relatives intervened and took him outside the house. Sealy broke free and punched the woman in the mouth before the relative intervened again. Acting Magistrate Shakieda Sealy adjourned the matter until October 15 when Sealy will return to the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates Court. (JB)
