Vendor granted bail on threat charge

A 53-year-old vendor accused of verbally threatening a man last Thursday has been granted $3 000 bail and warned to stay at least 100 metres away from the complainant.

Wendell O’Brien Holder, of Kensington New Road, St Michael, appeared before acting Magistrate Shakieda Sealy and denied using the threatening words ‘I gine stick this knife up you ****’ towards Renee Forde with intent to cause him to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him.

Holder will return to the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on January 14 to continue the case.
