Christ Church man denies firearm, ammo charges

A Parish Land, Christ Church man has pleaded not guilty in the No. 2 Supreme Court to possessing three firearms without valid licences and almost 70 rounds of ammunition.

At the gun court’s first sitting, Junior Anthony Wickham denied having a Sarsilmaz 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol, a Sig .233/5.56mm calibre rifle and a .233/5.56 calibre rifle without valid licences, as well as 69 rounds of ammunition.

The offences allegedly occurred on July 26, 2025.

After Principal State Counsel Rudolph Burnett indicated that the State was ready to proceed, defence attorney Sade Harris, who represents Wickham, said she was engaged in another trial but would be available when it was completed.

Justice Douglas Frederick adjourned the case until October 19 for case management.
