Bakery trespasser jailed for six months

A56-year-old man who repeatedly trespassed at a City bakery despite being forbidden to do so has been sentenced to six months in prison.

Ian Tony Beckles, of Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael, appeared in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Monday and admitted that on Saturday, he entered Bryan’s Bakery, having been forbidden to do so by owner Francine Bryan-Quimby.

Sergeant Vernon Forde told the court that Beckles frequents Baxter’s Road and repeatedly enters the business premises. The bakery owner had made numerous complaints to police, asking them to keep Beckles off the premises.

Magistrate Jared Richards sentenced Beckles, who is known, to six months at Dodds Prison.
