Evaluation requested for mother

A mother of one was remanded to the Psychiatric Hospital today after the magistrate determined that she needed to be evaluated.

Rachel Catherine Bynoe, 27, of Forde’s Road, Clapham, St Michael, was sent to the mental institution by Magistrate Douglas Frederick when she appeared disoriented while standing in the dock of the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Boyce, a custodian, had earlier pleaded not guilty to lawfully entering the premises of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on January 8, 2019, and conducting herself in an annoying manner.

However, her errant behaviour and her continued rambling caught the attention of the magistrate.

Frederick eventually decided to have her hospitalized, stating that she “was not making sense”.

At that point, the accused told the magistrate, “You gine make me lose my job and who gine look after my child?”

She is scheduled to return to court on Friday, January 11.
