Court Fousa to know fate on Monday Barbados Today21/02/2019187 views A Canadian woman is behind bars awaiting her fate after using an Xbox game console to smuggle two kilos of cocaine into Barbados. Valarie DaRosa Fousa arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport around 9:05 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20 from Port of Spain in transit to Canada. She was stopped, interviewed and referred to customs where her suitcase was checked. Two packages wrapped in transparent and vacuum-sealed bags containing a solid substance suspected to be cocaine were found concealed in the Xbox and stashed among the clothes. The 22-year-old from Ontario was charged with importation, possession, possession with intent to supply and possession with intent to traffic all of which she pleaded guilty to before Magistrate Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell today. Fousa, who was represented by attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens, was remanded to Dodds prison and will reappear on Monday, February 25 when she will be sentenced for the substance, which had a $100,000, estimated street value.
