The property was discovered missing, Maughan was quickly apprehended and the police called in. A restitution order was granted for the items to be returned to the owner. “I had a bad past. I know that I did this act but right now I am taking care of my mother and I suffer from gastroenteritis,” said Maughan who has quite a history before the court. “I asking you to give me a chance. I don’t want to go to jail that’s the honest truth. Just give me one more chance please, please, please,” the middle-aged woman added before she began to cry. She was remanded to the St Philip institution to return to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on April 25 for sentencing.
