Accused offered bail

A 27-year-old man will get another chance at bail when he returns to court tomorrow.

Anton Ashanti Grant, of Reece Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael was offered bail when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today but had no surety to sign on his behalf.

Grant pleaded not guilty to the charge that he displayed to Sonja Pollard on April 24 a visible sign depicting the slashing of the throat that caused her to believe that unlawful violence would be used.

The accused was remanded to reappear before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on April 26.
