No surety, accused sent to Dodds

There were no objections to bail but a 30-year-old accused still found himself on remand at HMP Dodds after he was unable to present a surety to the court.

He is Brent Renaldo Stanford of No 33 Kingsland Gardens, Christ Church who is accused of using abusive language “I don’t give a r******* if you is police” towards Station Sergeant Phillip Trotman as well as resisting and assaulting the officer as he executed his duties on April 23.

Stanford pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant yesterdat but had no surety present in court.

He returns to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on May 22.
