Magistrate Douglas Frederick imposed the bond on Bertram Russell Lynch, Bank Hall Cross Road, St Michael today after he pleaded guilty to loitering on the premises of Savings Plus Supermarket Incorporated trading as the Snack Shak on March 27 with cause to suspect that he was about to commit theft. Sergeant St Clair Phillips said Lynch, who is known to the court, had previously stolen “a set of chocolates” from the business and was caught on camera. He left the establishment that time by “walking in a blind spot” of the CCTV footage. However, he returned to the scene of his crime and was seen loitering and was detained by security and management. He was questioned and later arrested. “This is a year and a half that I ain’t get in with anything with the court. I working now . . . doing general work and plead with you to put a fine on me,” Lynch told the District ‘A’ Magistrate as he made a submission for leniency. The bond carries a three-month prison sentence if breached. “Try and stay away from the place,” the Magistrate Frederick warned as Lynch left the dock.
