Remand prisoner collapses, dies

Police are investigating the sudden death of a prisoner who was on remand at HMP Dodds.

Up to the time of publication, no details could be forthcoming from police.

But Barbados TODAY has been able to independently verify from multiple sources, that the inmate, identified as Omar Maynard, collapsed in one of the High Courts today after complaining of feeling unwell and later died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
