Court Local News Cashier granted bail Barbados Today19/05/20200577 views Kimberly Tillesha Clarke A woman was granted $5,000 bail today when she appeared in court on a theft charge. It is alleged that Kimberly Tillesha Clarke, of no fixed place of abode, stole BDS$9,000 and US$300 cash as well as a $1,000 cellular phone belonging to Jefferson Holder. The 22-year-old cashier was not required to plead to the indictable charge which is alleged to have been committed on May 15. Prosecutor Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons said his only objection to bail was the fact the accused had no fixed place to live. But Clarke told the court, “I suppose to be at . . . Deacons Farm . . .but I did not get to go there.” However, the accused was able to present a suitable surety to Magistrate Douglas Frederick after being told that she would need someone to verify her statements, which was done. Clarke now has to reside with her surety at Deacons Farm Road, St Michael. She will next appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on October 7.
