Two men found dead in separate locations

Firemen discovered the body of a man on an open lot at Strathclyde, St Michael.

The bodies of two men were discovered in separate locations today, leaving police to investigate one of them as an unnatural death.

An unidentified man may have drowned at Long Bay Beach, near Sam Lord’s Castle, St Philip, and firemen discovered the body of another on an open lot at Strathclyde, St Michael.

A man, whose name has not been disclosed, was pulled from the water around 11:30 this morning.

When police arrived on the scene, they said the man showed no signs of life. He was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

Then, around 5 p.m., Barbados Fire Service officers conducting business in Strathclyde found the body of an adult male on an open lot, police said.

Public spokesman Station Sergeant Michael Blackman has issued an appeal to anyone who may have information on the St Philip incident to contact the District ‘C’ Police Station at 416-8200, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 or any Police Station.

But Station Sargeant Blackman said was no foul play was suspected at this time in the St Michael discovery.
