Moore in the field engaging with constituents

Barbados Labour Party (BLP) candidate for the St George North by-election Toni Moore is in the field today meeting constituents and engaging them on how she can offer them more, once they choose her as their new representative on November 11.

This morning before moving off with her team, Moore told members of the media that her campaign’s management has deployed teams across the constituency to continue the canvassing effort.

“I would hope that today can be one of those days I can satisfy that desire of the people of St George North to meet with the BLP candidate for the area. The details of our strategy are internal,” Moore said.

Meanwhile, Moore’s campaign manager, Member of Parliament for St George South, Dwight Sutherland explained that the plan is to visit as many areas as possible today, including Parish Land, Airy Hill and Lower Estate to evaluate some of the challenges constituents in those areas have been dealing with for a while.

“There are some issues with respect to lighting on the Lower Estate pasture and there is a sporting facility there that is requesting some upgrade and we are just going to have a conversation.

“As the candidate rightfully said, we are touching base with as many constituents within that area. But we wouldn’t be in that area alone, we intend by 7 o’clock tonight to touch base with the entire St George North. Unity is strength and that’s why I am here with the candidate.

“In addition though, during the night we have to touch base with some of the bars and see what is going on and then tomorrow we will be at church,” Sutherland said. (AH)
