Rape case draws to a close

The rape trial of Rommel Antonio Larone Daniel will be summed up tomorrow.

Daniel of Airy Cot, St Thomas has been on trial for the alleged rape of a woman which occurred almost ten years ago on
December 1, 2010.

The matter is being heard before Justice Randall Worrell in the No. 2 Supreme Court where Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale appears for the Crown and lawyer Shadia Simpson represents the accused.

Today, the closing addresses were made and the Judge will sum up the evidence in the case and give direction on law to the jury tomorrow.

The prosecution alleges that Daniel raped the woman after he offered her a ride home from a party. (TS)
