Educator on $3 000 bail over malicious communication charge

A 40-year-old educator is on $3 000 bail after pleading not guilty to a charge of malicious communication in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Sheriann Norris of Austin’s Drive, St Michael appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick, where she denied that between March 1 and April 7 she used a computer to send an electronic communication that was obscene and intended to cause, or was reckless as to whether it caused, annoyance, inconvenience, distress or anxiety to Akhnaten Burrowes.

Norris is scheduled to return to court on July 14.
