PM clears air on incident involving Deacons Road cookshop owner

Prime Minister Mia Mottley maintains she did nothing wrong in the face of criticism related to her handling of a phone call from cook shop owner Ross Ashton during a luncheon at Deacons Road, St Michael on Good Friday.

A report on social media claimed the PM asked police officers who attempted to shut down the event to stand down.

But speaking to reporters this morning, PM Mottley made it clear this was not the case.
