Donville Inniss’ appeal lodged

Attorney-at-law Joel Hirschhorn today lodged a notice of appeal before the United States Court of Appeal on behalf of former Government Minister Donville Inniss.

Inniss was sentenced to two years in prison on April 27 after being convicted  on January 16, 2020 for money laundering. Inniss is appealing both the conviction and sentence. Filing of the notice was done electronically and submission of relevant documents by Inniss’ attorney is to follow shortly.

Sources close to the situation told Barbados TODAY that Inniss’ legal team was “quite confident” with respect to the appeal and that the former St James South MP remained in good spirit. (WG)
