Jury selected in Bradshaw and King trial

A jury has been empanelled in Supreme Court No. 2 to hear a six-count indictment, involving ammunition, firearms and cannabis charges, against two St Michael men.

The nine jurors were selected earlier this week in the High Court presided over by Justice Randall Worrell in the matters of Adrian Fitzgerald Bradshaw, of Storey Gap, Codrington, and Brian Barry King, of Block 18 Hilltop, Princess Royal Avenue, Pinelands.

However, legal arguments in the absence of the jury have been taking place. The matter is set to continue on Friday.

Bradshaw and King are accused of having in their possession a .357 revolver; a .22 revolver; a 9mm pistol; and 678 rounds of ammunition in the parish of St Philip on September 15, 2016, when they did not have valid licences to do so.

They are further charged with possession and having a trafficable quantity of cannabis on the same date. The illegal substance weighed 37.9 kilogrammes.

The two have pleaded not guilty.

King is being represented by attorney-at-law Dr Lenda Blackman and Bradshaw is self-represented.

Senior Crown Counsel Oliver Thomas is prosecuting the case along with Crown Counsel Keith Robertson.
