UPDATE: Man drowns at Cluffs, St Lucy

Police say no foul play is suspected in the death of 55-year-old Peter Douglas Prescod, of Greenidges, St Lucy.

According to police spokesman Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss lawmen received a call, around 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, that a man had been found in an unconscious state in the area known as Agent Bay, Cluffs, St Lucy.

Police responded and he was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor at the scene.

“He was reportedly fishing in the area when he fell off a cliff into the sea. He was discovered wedged between some jagged rocks and it is believed that he drowned. No foul play is suspected,” the acting inspector said.

Prescod was identified by a close family member.
