Seven now RBPF Senior Superintendents

After several years of acting in their positions as senior police officers, seven were Wednesday confirmed as Senior Superintendents in the Royal Barbados Police Force.

One female officer and her six male counterparts were handed their letters of appointment by Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith who was flanked by Deputy Commissioner Oral Williams, and Assistant Commissioner William Yearwood at Police Headquarters.

Superintendent Margaret Stephen, Assistant Superintendents Graham Husbands and David Griffith, and Inspectors John Brathwaite, John Boyce, Peter Gibson and David Welch had been acting as Senior Superintendents.

Their promotions bring them to one rank below Assistant Commissioner of Police.

The appointments are to take effect from Friday. (BT/RBPF)
