Three on gun and ammo charges

Two men and a woman facing separate gun and ammunition charges have pleaded not guilty before the High Court.

Randy Kemar Phillips, of Carters, St John denied having an unlicensed .380-calibre semi-automatic pistol and six rounds of ammunition in his possession on May 16, 2016.

Phillips, who is represented by attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens, is scheduled to make his next appearance before Justice Carlisle Greaves on April 5.

Jaquan Antonio Richards, of Lascelles Terrace, Pinelands, St Michael was given an April 12 date to make his next appearance before Justice Greaves in the No. 3 Supreme Court.

Richards, who is represented by attorney-at-law Shadia Simpson, told the court on Thursday that he was not guilty of having a .32 semi-automatic pistol and seven rounds of ammunition without the necessary permits from the Commissioner of Police. The offences were allegedly committed on November 6, 2017.

The third accused, Hazel Donna Greenidge, of Bottom Close, Pine, St Michael, is alleged to have had an unlicensed Glock pistol and seven rounds of ammunition on February 18, 2018.

She denied the charges before Justice Greaves and was given an April 18 date to reappear in court.

The cases against the accused are being prosecuted by Acting Senior Crown Counsel Rudolph Burnett.
