American EMT accused of death threat

A 30-year-old emergency medical technician (EMT) from the United States was granted bail when he appeared in court on Tuesday, charged with threatening to kill a man over the weekend.

Quan Megale Sellars, from No. 4 Spanish Wells, Summerville, South Carolina, pleaded not guilty to the charge that he, without lawful authority or excuse, threatened Neville Reid by allegedly uttering the words: “I am going to kill you. I went to Iraq in the war and I kill people down there and I am going to kill you” on June 4.

With no objections from the prosecutor, Sellars – who was represented by attorney-at-law Romain Marshall – was granted $10 000 bail which he secured with one surety.

He is expected to reappear before Magistrate Kim Butcher in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on December 8.
