Seven Christmas Day babies

Seven mothers received extra special Christmas gifts today. They welcomed healthy, bouncing babies at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The first baby was born at 1:15 a.m. and the last at 3:22 p.m.

Theresa St. Pierre was the first to deliver. She gave birth to her daughter Khaleesi St. Pierre, who weighed seven pounds. De Peiza was due on December 18.

This was a bitter-sweet experience for the 29-year-old who explained that her mother Monica De Peiza, who passed away in September was looking forward to being at the hospital to welcome her first granddaughter.

Keba Springer, 20, delivered the second baby at six pounds. Her name is Ariyah Harewood-Springer and she came at 3:32 a.m.

Next was Nadesha Lashley who welcomed T’Leah Browne at 7:18 a.m. Browne weighed six pounds and was due January 11. This is Lashley’s second child. She has a nine-year-old son.

Cheriann Greene delivered the first boy, Jaxon Vaughan Greene at 7:50 a.m. He weighed five pounds.

At 8:30 a.m., Folashade Oluyadi, who is visiting Barbados from Lagos, Nigeria, delivered the next baby boy, who weighed seven pounds. His name is Fayo Oluyadi.

Oluyadi, 40, was especially delighted to welcome her second child as she had three miscarriages between Fayo and her six-year-old daughter.

Tia Alleyne delivered baby number six and the third boy at 12:16 p.m. He weighed six pounds.

Rynelle Herbert delivered a girl around 3:22 p.m.
