Section of Wildey Triangle closed due to waterlogged conditions

A portion of the Wildey Triangle in St Michael has been temporarily closed due to waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall, the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) said on Tuesday.

The affected section, which is currently under repair, runs northbound from Carters General Store to the back of Courtesy Garage. MTW said the closure is in the interest of public safety.

Access is restricted to local traffic only, specifically residents and the Barbados National Trust.

While motorists heading to the ABC Highway can do so via Wildey Road, road users are encouraged to consider alternative routes.

The ministry has apologised for the inconvenience.
