A Spooners Hill man accused of possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition has been remanded to Dodds Prison for 28 days.

Shaquille Tremaine Layne appeared before Magistrate Jared Richards in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court charged with having a firearm and six rounds of ammunition on September 10.

The 32-year-old of Ocean View was not required to plead, as the charges are indictable.

Layne, who is represented by Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens, will reappear in the Bridgetown court on October 12.
