Collymore to know fate

An almost three-year-old incident over the cost of beers has come back to haunt a St Michael man.

Quizaro Akeem Collymore, of Browne’s Gap, Jackson, St Michael was brought before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court for the first time today to answer the charge that he wounded Anthony Kellman on June 10, 2017.

After pleading guilty to the charge before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant this afternoon the court heard that Kellman, a shop owner, was approached by Collymore who asked that he sell four beers for 10. However, Kellman told him that the price was $12 for four of the beverages.

The accused became annoyed according to Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons. Kellman’s brother stepped in and gave Collymore the four beers at the price he requested and he left. He returned a short while later with the money and told Kellman “your face barely want bursting and
. . . your time coming”.

The prosecutor said Collymore then threw a beer bottle at Kellman striking him on the right side of his head. He fled the scene.

He was arrested earlier today.

After hearing the facts the magistrate adjourned the case until tomorrow when Kellman is expected to appear in court and the two are expected to give their versions of what occurred that day.

Collymorre is on $500 bail in the meantime.
