Payroll and statutory obligations being facilitated

Owners and operators of businesses across Barbados are asked to note that they will be allowed to have staff in office to facilitate the processing of transactions related to, and dealing with, payroll and statutory obligations, such as NIS and PAYE.

Businesses and companies will be allowed to conduct these limited operations based on the first letter of the business’ name as follows:

  • Letter A – E: Monday, April 20, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Letter F – O: Tuesday, April 21, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Letter P – Z: Wednesday, April 22, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

In circumstances where a group of businesses conducts these processes, transactions and dealings through a central team, then a single day will be allowed for the group, based on the first letter of the name of the entity designated by the group to be responsible for the same. (BGIS)
