Spooner granted bail on assault charge

Accused Rohan Ramon Spooner was allowed to go home on Monday after spending five nights on remand at HMP Dodds.

When the 29-year-old from Pool No. 2, St John appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts on Monday he was granted bail in the sum of $1 500 which he secured with one surety.

Spooner is charged with recently assaulting Emerson Haynes, occasioning him actual bodily harm.

The accused will reappear before the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on January 24, 2022.

In the meantime he has been warned not to inference or harass the complainant in any way.
