Reigning champions Blue House retain title

Davonte Greene of Blue House was totally in charge of the Under-13 Boys 100m race.

Blue House once again sits on the throne as champions of St. George Primary inter-house sports as they staved off persistent rivals Red House today at St. George Secondary School ground.

In what was a champion like performance, Blue House tallied 433 points as just four points separated them from Red with 429 points when the curtains came down on another exciting year of competition at the school.

Yellow House scored 402 and settled for third position while Green House totaling 360 was fourth overall.

It was a ding dong battle but in the end Thalia Selman stamped her authority as the fast girl at St. George Primary ahead of housemate Destinee Evelyn in the Under-13 Girls 100m. (Pictures by Morissa

St. George Primary Lions are the defending boys’ champion at the National Primary Schools Athletic Championship (NAPSAC) and based on today’s performance, they should not be underestimated.

Victor Ludorum Treshawn Cumberbatch with 38 individual points will be a force to reckon with in the Under-nine Boys Division. Cumberbatch of Green House slammed the 80m, 100m and 150m field and was second in the cricket ball throw.

Then there is also Under-13 Division champion Davonte Green of Blue House who is in great form and announced himself as the fastest boy at the school in the 100m. Green along with Under-11 Boys champion Rivaldo Weekes ended on 34 points each and they both look extremely promising.

Victrix Ludorum honours went to Serena Hope of Yellow House with 36 points. She won the 200m and cricket ball throw, placed second in the 100m and 300m.
