Barbados captured another gold medal moments ago as overseas-based middle distance runner Haynes won the Under-20 girls 1500m. Haynes, a student of the University of Florida, ran the race of her life to outsprint two Jamaicans on the final stretch and clock 4:52.29 minutes. Earlier, Simmons won the Under-17 girls 1500m in 4:51.65 seconds. (AG-B)
