Bougainvillea Barbados and Sugar Bay Barbados ring in the New Year

Bougainvillea Barbados and Sugar Bay Barbados said goodbye to 2018 and ushered in 2019 in their usual grand style.

It was a nautical affair at both resorts as guests at Bougainvillea Barbados Beach enjoyed the mesmerizing entertainment by Masala with Philip7, along with the skillful dance movement of Dancing Africa.

Over at Sugar Bay Barbados, guests brought down the curtain on the old year with the exhilarating band, Spirit accompanied by the smooth vocals of Bianca Boyce.

Both New Year’s celebrations were treated to the extraordinary drumming sensation, Iza Vybe, who had the crowd moving to the infectious drum lines.

The celebrations at both resorts ended with brilliant displays of fireworks and cheerful shouts heralding the official welcome of 2019, followed by the usual champagne toasts plus more dancing and revelry in honour of all things new.

2019 is off to a bumper start for both properties. Sugar Bay is forecasting 90 per cent occupancy for January and Bougainvillea is expecting 95 per cent occupancy
