Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told reporters that around 7:50 a.m., they received a call from a man who reported that a white vehicle was partially submerged in the Careenage. By the time police arrived, the vehicle had sunk to the bottom of the Careenage. A diver from the Police Marine Unit confirmed that the body of a male is in the vehicle underwater. Inniss said: “We are still at the stage of the recovery, recovering the vehicle is difficult. It will take some time” He has however appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact Police Emergency at 211, the Criminal Investigation Unit at 430-7189, or any Police Station.
