Body found at bottom of quarry at Lower Estate, St Michael

Police are currently conducting investigations at a quarry located at Lower Estate, St Michael where a body was discovered around 3:45 p.m.

According to lawmen, the grim find was made by a tractor operator who was working at the quarry.

The body was seen in an area located approximately 150 feet deep.

Police said the body is an early stage of decomposition and it appears to be that of a young, black adult male.

Investigations are continuing.
