The deceased has been identified as Rommell Antonio Cyrus of Sion Hill, in St James. Police said he was reportedly standing on the top of the bed of the truck, which is owned and driven by Winston Worrell of Upper Carlton St. James. The accident involved a car owned by Mandel Knight of Ruby, St Philip and driven by 61-year Marcia Yearwood of Bagatelle, St James. Police said was the car was travelling along Molyneux Road in a westerly direction while the truck was headed in the opposite direction. Yearwood told police that as she turned the corner she noticed the body of a man flying through the air on her right hand side. That body struck the right front fender of the car she was driving.
