The Bajan Alliance of Businesses (BAB) was introduced recently, with officials promising that it will provide a needed hand-holding for struggling firms. In fact, describing the organisation as โa melting pot of businesses from several sectors looking out for each otherโ, BAB president Nicole Johnson said the support system would ensure that firms always have a solution. โWe aim to work together to help build each other through professional business patronisation and referral opportunities. โWe aim to be an organisation of business people who look out for each otherโs business, operating by the highest degree of professionalism, integrity and strong business standards and practices,โ she said. We will hold each otherโs hands,โ she declared. Johnson, who was addressing the recent launching ceremony, explained: โWe talk about holding each otherโs hands; we want to be that platform, that network that hold each otherโs hands and support each other in every way possible. โYou donโt want to start today and your business fails because you do not have any support system. So, we want to do everything we can to helpโ. marlonmadden@barbadostoday.bb Barbados Today Traffic You may also like โNo one will save usโ: Caribbean must be self-reliant for economic survival... 10/08/2026 Fishermen raise concern over ice, bait, insurance, diesel costs 10/08/2026 First 10 Beryl vessel loans approved, totalling $2.8m 10/08/2026
