Speaking Out #BTSpeakingOut – Everybody loves Chris . . . now by Barbados Today Traffic 18/01/2022 written by Barbados Today Traffic 18/01/2022 2 min read A+A- Reset Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 322 Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed by the author(s) do not represent the official position of Barbados TODAY. by Patrick Gittens So, let’s see the hypocrisy in the society. So no one wants to hear from the old guard of the DLP. They were said to be all corrupt and deserve to apologise and be thrown off a cliff… in a bus. Fair enough! If we take that position then, why should Chris Sinckler’s views be heard, read or listened to? Wasn’t he the architect of the so-called lost decade? Why is he being given prominence now? By him endorsing the Government’s mandate, by his own admission is he saying the economic stewardship under his watch was a failure, corrupt and that he encouraged and facilitated it? And, that he and his colleagues deserve the 30/0 defeat at the hands of the current administration? If the answer to both is in the affirmative then it is a stinging indictment on himself and his attempt to govern and not the surreptitious attempt to undermine Verla DePeiza. This article [his comments in another section of the media] and his grading show his ineptitude at any attempts to govern and he has by this article directly or indirectly admitted that the onslaught of criticism, the vitriol, the invective, scorn even, spewed at him was well deserved and not one for Verla because she was not in charge. Absolve her then of leadership infractions until she has been given an opportunity. One can only but hope that Chris Sinckler likes his new sponsors. It must be good being a student, foot soldier, again learning from his adversary and not interacting as an equal political peer. These people must be very careful what they say in public. Sadly, many of our voters are also not following the threads of commentary. You Might Be Interested In Enlightened rastafari Twistory again!
