With the House of Assembly flooded with politicians from one party, it is incumbent upon the media to get the views of other voices with respect to the Budget.

We are not going to get any objective commentary from Parliament, therefore the media must seek out members of the DLP, APP, other parties that contested the general election, independents, social commentators not on government’s payroll, and have their views aired.

What does Lynette Eastmond and Joseph Atherley have to say? What do independent voices such as Drs Don Marshall and Justin Robinson have to say?

I should not be seeing commentary from the likes of Avinash Persaud and Dr. Clyde Mascoll on the Budget.

It will be like ventriloquism – they will be moving their mouths but one will be hearing the PM’s words.
