Kadeem King, of Waverley Cot, St George, died after being involved in an accident along Superlative Road, in the same parish, around 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Police said the Toyota Corolla he was driving collided head-on with an articulated lorry driven by a 40-year-old man. A male passenger was also in King’s car. When Barbados TODAY reached out to the family of the deceased, they were unable to speak. King’s car was extensively damaged in the fatal collision and he and his passenger had to be removed from the vehicle by officers from the Barbados Fire Service using the Jaws of Life. King passed away while receiving treatment and the passenger remains hospitalised in serious condition. Police gave no details about the condition of the lorry driver. Investigations are continuing.
