In the Caribbean, a total of US$100,000 has been donated to four charities. In The Bahamas, the recipient charities are the Bahamas Youth Foundation and Cape Eleuthera Island School’s Deep Creek Middle School. In Barbados, donations will be made to The Schoolhouse for Special Needs and to the pediatric department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

“These donations demonstrate our on-going commitment to the Caribbean while supporting local charities who help the most vulnerable,” said Chris Ronald, Head of Caribbean Banking, RBC Royal Bank.

“RBC has been a part of the Caribbean for nearly 115 years and we take pride in being able to give back to our communities in such a meaningful way.

These organisations are doing ha rd but important work. We hope these donations will help them as they continue to support the next generations of Bahamians and Barbadians alike.”

“It’s very important that we continue to give back to these incredibly deserving causes that resonate strongly with all our employees,” said Paul Jefferson, Head of Global Markets, Caribbean, RBC Capital Markets. “RBC Charity Day for the Kids demonstrates our ongoing commitment to helping our clients thrive and communities prosper by supporting youth and their families. We are grateful for the continued partnerships with the charities, our clients, and our employe es for their fantastic support.”
