McIntosh assumed his new position on August 12. His appointment follows the retirement of Robert de Silva, who has served in the role for the past 8 years. In addition to being Managing Director, McIntosh will also continue as Area Vice President, Business Banking in Barbados. In this expanded role as Managing Director, McIntosh will help shape RBC’s future success as he builds on the strong foundation established by de Silva. He will continue to invest in relationships with regulators, governments, communities and lead the Barbados team. McIntosh holds a BSc in Economics and Management and has over 15 years of experience in Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking. He brings deep knowledge and experience with clients in the private as well as public sectors in Barbados. McIntosh is a member of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Green Committee and was recently elected to the council of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “Along with his expertise in dealing with multinational corporations, large local private and public sector organizations, he is skilled at creating a collaborative culture and working with partners,” said Chris Ronald, Head Caribbean Banking.
