Share FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 599 During a recent visit to the Ellerton Primary School, Sagicor’s adopted school for the 2022-2023 academic year, the leading insurance and financial solutions provider encouraged students at the school to put their best foot forward for the entirety of 2023, an approach that will not only serve them well for this year, but for years to come. Representatives from the company’s Marketing & Communications Department were invited to be a part of the school’s morning assembly, to deliver a message of motivation and inspire students to take steps today that would help them pursue whatever dreams they may have for themselves. The session was led by Sagicor’s Social Engagement Officer, Georgina Callender, whose message to the approximately 170 students was that they all have the tools to do their very best in all aspects of their life for 2023 and beyond. Callender developed and utilised the theme “L.E.T.S R.O.C.K.” in her brief but inspiring address, with each letter of the theme representing a different characteristic or quality – (Let’s) Lessons, Education, Together, Steady; (Rock) Responsible, Original, Confident, and Kind. “Each of you has access to the tools you need to follow your dreams. Throughout every period of your lives, you will encounter many challenges that give you the opportunity to learn meaningful ‘Lessons’. Every day you have access to free, high-quality ‘Education’, which you and your friends can utilize ‘Together’ to go as far as possible, but with a slow and ‘Steady’ approach that gives you the best chance to win the race of life,” she told the students. “You are ‘Responsible’ for your future and the direction that you take it, which is why you should not be afraid to be different, because you can choose to go your own way and be ‘Original’ and ‘Confident’ in yourself and your purpose. Most importantly, however, be ‘Kind’,” she added. I therefore wish to thank Sagicor for engaging with us, and we look forward to working together on more projects and activities for the rest of the academic year,” said Haynes.
