Local NewsNews Update: BWA crews remove and replace support beams at Hampton Station by Sandy Deane 18/01/2024 written by Sandy Deane 18/01/2024 1 min read A+A- Reset FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 577 The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises that work is underway to remove and replace the remaining corroded support beams at the Hampton Pumping Station in St. Philip. As a result, pumping at the facility has been stopped while repairs are underway, to ensure the safety of the team entering the well. The BWA reminds that pumping will resume intermittently and the capacity will be reduced. Customers in the connected catchment are urged to store an adequate amount of water for their households to help, as their pipe-borne supply may also be intermittent. BWA water tanker teams will continue to assist residents as a temporary measure.
