The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) said excessive rainfall today could generate flooding across low-lying areas. Rainfall accumulations of over one inch have already occurred across some sections of the island and another one to three inches are possible, it said. The BMS said conditions are predicted to peak this morning into the afternoon with some improvement later in the afternoon. The flash flood warning is in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., but could be lifted sooner if conditions warrant.
