In a statement issued on Monday, the hospital said the precautionary measure was implemented in collaboration with the Barbados Police Service following a shooting incident, in keeping with established safety protocols for staff, patients and visitors. The clarification comes amid reports circulating that the A&E Department remained under lockdown.
