Station Officer Roger Bourne of the Bridgetown Fire Station said emergency services responded around 8 a.m. to the incident, where both vehicles had already collided on what he described as a slippery roadway. Fire officers used stabilising equipment to secure both vehicles, including disconnecting the battery in the hybrid vehicle to ensure safety at the scene. โThere were no major injuries. There were slight injuries from the seatbelt, from the impact,โ Bourne said. Both the Government ambulance and an urgent care ambulance attended the scene and treated the occupants, who were said to be in stable condition and later sought further medical attention. Bourne noted that the accident occurred under wet conditions and warned motorists to exercise greater caution, particularly when transitioning between dry and wet road surfaces.
