Fire Officer 250 Ramsey said the Barbados Fire Service responded around 7:35 a.m. after receiving a call about a special service incident involving two vehicles. โOn arrival, we saw two vehicles had been involved, and one of the vehicles was on top of a gas meter, so the gas was escaping,โ he said. The National Petroleum Corporation (NPC) was called in to deal with the leaking gas, while ambulance personnel attended to the injured. A resident whose property was impacted said the vehicle crashed into his gate and damaged a van parked at the home. He also praised the response from emergency personnel, noting that both fire and gas officials arrived quickly to manage the situation. The scene was later secured as authorities carried out their assessments.
